New England Bed and Breakfast Guide

Vermont Jay Bed and Breakfast & Jay Inn Guide

JAY

Jay, a popular winter resort town in Orleans County, offers a variety of activities and attractions, as well as accessible Jay lodgings. Jay bed and breakfasts make for convenient places to stay for easy access to the skiing facilities in town. If you opt to stay at a Jay inn, you will also be in the vicinity of the neighboring town of Newport, with its fabulous network of shops, nightclubs, and restaurants, including the famous Eastside Restaurant. The town is best known for the Jay Peak Resort, a ski area that takes pride in having much deeper natural snowfalls than just about all of the other ski areas in the New England region. It is also known for having the largest number of gladed trails in the Eastern United States. The mountain has a fair number of trails for beginners and intermediate skiers, and more than a few steep trails for those seeking out a true challenge. Another great locale close to Jay lodging would be the Lake Memphremagog recreational area, a beautiful vista and a wonderful fishing spot. According to legend, a mysterious creature called "Memphre" lives in the lake's deeps, much like Nessie in old Loch Ness. Other reasons to stay in Jay include the Jay Peak Aerial Tramway (the only aerial tram in Vermont), and the Jay Branch Gorge. After a busy day of outdoor activities or sightseeing return to the warm hospitality of your Jay bed and breakfast or Jay inn.

We think you'll enjoy one of the fantastic lodging properties we have in our guide of Jay inns and bed and breakfasts. If you represent a Jay bed and breakfast or inn who would like to be listed, please go to our Innkeepers page to join.
