New England Bed and Breakfast Guide

Richmond Bed and Breakfast & Richmond Inn Guide

RICHMOND

Richmond bed and breakfasts and Richmond inns are nestled on the eastern shore of scenic Lake Champlain, against the foothills of the famed Green Mountains of Vermont. Among things to do in the town, besides enjoying a stay at one of the charming Richmond lodgings, is taking in such sights as the attractive Round Church, built in 1812-14, a unique 16-sided structure that has 'no corners for the Devil to hide in', or so the townsfolk like to say. Richmond is also home to some nice antique shops, and more shopping can be found within a few minutes' drive of the town, such as at the Champlain Mill in Winooski, 20 minutes to the north. Other places of interest that are within minutes of Richmond lodging include the Birds of Vermont Museum in Huntington, Shelburne Farms, the Vermont Teddy Bear Factory, Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream Factory, and the Church Street Marketplace in Burlington. Richmond lodging is popular in the winter months, as the town is home to the Cochran Ski Area, and the Bolton Valley Resort (the largest Chittenden County ski area). Cross country skiing is offered at the nearby Catamout Family Center in Williston.
